OSRAM’s LEDinspect Pro Torch 1200 has been awarded 5 out of 5 stars in the Auto ExpressLED pocket torch test.

The LEDinspect Pro Torch 1200 is the most powerful torch in the company’s offering and has an impressive 48 hours of operating time on Eco mode and even 12 hours of operating time on low. With 1,200 lumen of illumination, it has a beam distance of 680 metres.

The high scoring torch uses high powered LED technology and has a robust aluminium casing with an ergonomic grip and a more durable design for the tougher environment.

The test commented: “The 1200 is the top model in OSRAM’s new Pro Torch range, and it packs a proper punch with an output of 1,200 lumens – that’s the same as the most powerful halogen car headlights.

“Unlike a car’s [headlamp] unit though, OSRAM’s [LEDinspect Pro Torch 1200] can be concentrated into a narrow beam, which is 30cm wide when five metres away. The company claims this means it will illuminate up to 680 metres away on a clear night, and in our test it was clearly reflecting off traffic signs on unlit country roads from a 500m distance.”
