Thinkcar UK has strengthened its team with the appointment of Joel Bagge as Business Development Manager, supporting the diagnostic equipment specialist’s continued growth and expansion across the sector.
Bringing experience across several areas of the automotive industry, Bagge will be responsible for developing relationships with distributors and customers, delivering product demonstrations and providing technical knowledge and support to workshops.
A key focus of his role will be helping to expand Thinkcar’s presence in the UK market, ensuring independent garages and technicians understand the capabilities of its growing diagnostic equipment range and how the technology can support their businesses.
Bagge began his career as a mechanic, developing a particular interest in diagnostics and fault-finding before moving into the parts sector. Having gained experience across different areas of the trade, he brings a practical understanding of the challenges facing independent workshops and technicians.
His appointment comes as Thinkcar continues to develop its professional diagnostic offering, with a focus on providing advanced technology, comprehensive vehicle coverage and technical support at competitive price points.
Bagge commented: “I’m really pleased to have joined Thinkcar at such an exciting time for the business.
Having started my career as a mechanic, I’ve always had a real interest in diagnostics and understanding how vehicle systems work. This is a natural next step for me and I’m looking forward to using my experience ‘on the tools’ and in parts to help customers get the most out of Thinkcar’s technology.
“The team has been incredibly welcoming and there’s a real drive within the business to keep developing and improving.
The capabilities and coverage of the diagnostic range are really impressive and I’m excited to be part of the company’s future growth.”
With vehicle technology continuing to advance, Bagge is particularly keen to support workshops in understanding the growing importance of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and the diagnostic and calibration requirements associated with them.
He added: “ADAS is becoming an increasingly important consideration for independent garages as more vehicles enter the aftermarket equipped with these systems.
“With my background in diagnostics and ADAS, it’s an area I’m particularly interested in.
There’s a real opportunity to help workshops better understand the technology, the equipment they need and how they can prepare for the changing demands of vehicle servicing and repair.”
Alex Gillbanks, Owner at Thinkcar, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Joel to the team.
His hands-on experience and understanding of the daily challenges workshops face will be a real asset as we continue to strengthen Thinkcar’s position in the market.
Our focus is not simply on supplying diagnostic equipment, but ensuring workshops have access to the technology, knowledge and support they need to work confidently on modern vehicles.
“Joel’s technical background and enthusiasm make him a great fit for the business, and we’re looking forward to seeing him develop relationships with our customers and distributor network.”
