DAYCO TAKES CENTRE STAGE AT EICMA IN MILAN

Taking its familiar prominent position within the International Motorcycle and Accessories Exhibition (EICMA) in Milan from 4th – 9th November, Dayco, a leading engine products and drive systems supplier to the automotive, industrial and aftermarket industries is exhibiting a broad range of its premium quality products and solutions to the event’s global audience.

In addition to the excellent brand exposure that Dayco enjoys at EICMA, the event provides the perfect environment for the company to highlight four associated developments: an extended scooter and maxi scooter belt offering, the introduction of variator kits, a new snowmobile/ATV belt range and its ongoing relationship with the Honda LCR MotoGP team, all of which are central to the Powersport division’s ongoing growth objectives.

Beginning with the scooter and maxi scooter developments, Dayco is delighted to announce that due to the growing demand for its exceptional CVT (continuously variable transmission) belts, it is extending the existing aftermarket range to include 13 new references specifically for medium to large displacement machines of 300 to 700cc.

These additions, which are all manufactured in Europe, cater for some iconic machines including the Yamaha Xmax and Tmax, the Honda NSS Forza 300, and Italy’s best sellers, the Piaggio Beverly and MP3. In total 23 applications are covered with these new references, with the Gilera Nexus 500, Kymco AK550 and MyRoad 700, the SYM Citycom 300 and Maxsym 400 and the Suzuki Burgman 400 among them.

Dayco has a proven track record of delivering complete system solutions in every sector in which it is active, a philosophy it is now bringing to the motorcycle industry, with its variator kits.

In partnership with respected specialist product manufacturer Yasuni, Dayco is able to combine its strengths as a global leader in original equipment (OE) drive belt technology, with Yasuni’s race bred variator and automatic transmission system know how, to produce all inclusive variator kits.

The initial range of seven kits, which includes a premium OE quality Dayco CVT belt and a variator with all its individual components, provides a durable and reliable solution, that is also able to deliver optimised acceleration.

Dayco will also be using EICMA to preview its TRX range, which is its latest snowmobile/ATV belt, developed to meet and exceed the demands of the latest high performance applications of 800cc and above, which also include turbocharged engines and high output powertrains.

The TRX range features an EPDM construction, with embedded aramid cord for extra durability and different fabrics on the inner and outer toothed surfaces, which contribute to the belt’s ability to transfer maximum power, while resisting wear and excessive heat.

Due to be introduced in early 2026, the TRX range will initially include 20 reference that will cater for more the 2,600, and provide a superb replacement solution for high performance machines from brands including Arctic Cat, Bombardier, Can Am, Kawasaki, Polaris, Ski-Doo and Yamaha.

Naturally, all of the new products on display will feature in the company’s excellent web catalogue, and all will be presented in Dayco’s instantly recognisable packaging, reflecting the consistent image and style of the renowned global brand.

Celebrating its ongoing partnership with the HONDA LCR Moto GP team, the fourth EICMA specific element will come with the Dayco Powersport sponsored machine of Le Mans winner Johann Zarco, which has been carrying the division’s logo throughout the 2025 Moto GP season, including as he took victory at the French GP.

Although Dayco has actively leveraged its association with the team all season long, the final round of the season in Valencia will be a major event for the Powersport division, as both valued customers and associated members of the Dayco team, will come together for an end of season celebration.

Alongside these motorcycle orientated elements, Dayco will also display some of its other OE quality products, including in the personal mobility sector with the company’s revolutionary iTS (integrated transmission system), and its UHT Carbon belt, which is used inside an E-bike’s electric motor, for example.

The Dayco iTS solution delivers numerous benefits in performance and durability, not only in comparison to chain drive systems, but also compared to other toothed belt alternatives.

The application of the revolutionary design of both the profile of the belt and its integration with the sprockets, which have exactly the same width, allows the Dayco Power iTS to combine highly efficient power delivery to the wheel, with reduced wear, providing a new level of performance to supplement its virtually silent operation.

Alongside the unique profile of the teeth and the specifically formulated hardwearing coating that is applied to them, the UHT Carbon belt, which also includes internal cords, ensures that it’s able deliver the optimum performance for the specific application.

As a result, the Dayco UHT Carbon belt is an OE solution with several China-based E-bike manufacturers, which is a further development that heralds the introduction of Dayco as a major player in the personal mobility sector.

Commenting in advance of the event, Sales & Marketing Manager of Dayco EMEA’s Powersport division, Nicolò Veglia said: “Bringing together all these important elements gives us a great opportunity to showcase the diverse nature of the technical capabilities within Dayco and the real world solutions that we deliver.

“Dayco is both an OE and aftermarket supplier, so it is good for us to highlight both of these attributes, which further strengthen the brand and demonstrate the depth of the solutions we have to offer the various sectors the company serves.”
