Delphi confirms sponsorship of Top Awards for 2026

Tuesday 31 Mar 2026

Delphi has confirmed its renewed sponsorship of the 2026 Top Awards, supporting the sector’s most prestigious competition series for garages, technicians and apprentices, and reinforcing its long-standing commitment to raising technical standards across the industry.

The return of the Top Garage, Top Technician and Top Apprentice awards has been announced, with registration now open. The competition begins with an initial round comprising of multiple-choice questions to answer before 15th May, followed by progressing through increasingly demanding stages designed to test technical knowledge, diagnostic ability and business excellence.

More than an industry accolade, the Top Awards serve as a rigorous benchmark for professional capability, offering participants valuable insight into their skills and business performance. Supported by leading industry partners, the competition continues to shine a spotlight on the dedication and expertise driving the UK aftermarket forward.

As part of Delphi’s involvement, the Top Technician semi-finals will be hosted at the Delphi Academy in Warwick on 3rd October 2026, where the UK’s top 10 technicians will face a high-pressure, in-person assessment featuring ten live fault-finding tasks, each lasting 20 minutes. The entire competition series will culminate at Delphi Academy on 14th November 2026, where finalists will take on their ultimate practical and business challenges.

Aliya Lam, UK Country Director at Delphi, said: “Training and skills development are absolutely vital to the future of the aftermarket. As vehicles become more complex, technicians need continuous learning opportunities to stay ahead of new technologies and repair challenges.

“Supporting the Top Awards aligns perfectly with Delphi’s commitment to education, technical excellence and giving technicians the platform they deserve to demonstrate their skills. And we’re delighted to once again play host to key stages of the competition at the Delphi Academy and to help celebrate the talent driving our industry forward.”

Delphi’s support aligns closely with its ongoing investment in technician development through the Delphi Academy and its wider digital learning platforms and tech van, which provide hands-on training and technical resources to workshops across the UK.
