IAAF Industry Briefing Bitesize - March 2021

Date: Wednesday 24 March 2021

The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) has announced the first Industry Briefing Bitesize session for 2021, ‘The Digitalisation of the Automotive Aftermarket in 2021 and beyond’, which is exclusive to its membership.

Taking place on Wednesday 24th March 2021 via Zoom, the IAAF is inviting members to attend the latest in its popular free-to-attend online briefing events to look at the future of the aftermarket.

Starting at 10.00am until 11.30am, IAAF’s industry briefing will look at how digitalisation can bring the aftermarket supply chain, workshops, service providers and the customer together in a 360-degree journey.

Ben Smith, founder of PECUVi Automotive, is the first guest speaker for 2021 and will be discussing his latest launch, ‘Intelligent Motorist,’ a new app based automotive vehicle health check solution.

Smith has a wealth of experience in design, marketing and digital communications and has been working in the independent aftermarket for the past six years. Dubbed ‘the future of vehicle maintenance,’ the new ‘Intelligent Motorist’ app has been in production for the last 12 months and aims to digitalise the future of the aftermarket.

Mike Smallbone, head of membership development at IAAF, comments:

“We’re so pleased to announce that our online Industry Briefing Bitesize sessions are back for 2021. These regular virtual events have proved popular with members over the past 12 months and we’re happy that we have been able to continue connecting and engaging with professionals in the industry during the pandemic.
“Our first bitesize session for the year will be an exciting one, offering attendees the opportunity to find out more about how they can digitalise their business and prepare for the future.”

During the briefing session Smith will be taking attendees through the new ‘Intelligent Motorist’ app and members will then be able to take part in an active Q&A for further information.

An open forum will follow, allowing members to comment on key IAAF discussion points, where they will have the opportunity to gather more information on IAAF’s activity and how it is proactively supporting its members and the wider aftermarket.
