FAI Automotive has officially launched its newly expanded control cables range, marking a significant milestone in the company’s strategic growth since being acquired by Motus Aftermarket Parts (MAP) in 2021.

The brands Control Cables range has now grown to over 800 part numbers, including 600+ brake cables, covering an impressive 92 percent of the UK vehicle parc. Plus, a targeted selection of 200+ gear cables, focused on high-failure applications, particularly in light commercial vehicles.

As with all FAI products, quality is at the core. Every cable is manufactured to meet or exceed OE specifications and is thoroughly tested to ensure performance and longevity.

This expansion is part of a broader push by FAI to offer more product categories under a brand customers already trust. Peter Garett, Head of Product and Marketing at FAI, commented: “FAI’s heart is still in engine components, but our focus is growing. We’re backing that growth with serious investment in stock, support, marketing and product development.”

FAI has long been a familiar name in the UK aftermarket, known for its strength in engine components and steering & suspension. But behind the scenes, big changes have been quietly taking shape, and the relaunch of its cables range is the first of several major product pushes now rolling out.

Still headquartered in Leighton Buzzard, where the company has expanded across nine units internally and four for bulk stock, FAI’s central UK location continues to support strong logistics and same-day availability for many customers.

Garett added: “Our purchasing and logistics teams have worked hard to ensure resilience and availability across ranges, especially given the recent global supply chain challenges. Now, with this expanded cables offering, we’re adding more depth where customers need it most.”

FAI’s new cables range expansion is just the start. With plans already underway for the introduction of filters, braking and more, 2025 marks a new chapter for the brand.
