IAAF activity report – W/E 4 April 2025

It’s been a busy week for IAAF comprising the following:

 

Networking & events

  • IAAF will hold member networking drinks on the first day of Automechanika Birmingham 2025 (Tuesday 3 June) – look out for the invitation next week
  • We have expanded the number of teams in our football tournament on 22 May at Stoke City F.C – contact Angela@iaaf.co.uk to take part
  • Automechanika Birmingham Garage Awards looks set to be the biggest yet. To secure your place and enquire about sponsorship for the event on Wednesday 4 June, please email angela@iaaf.co.uk

Lobbying

  • IAAF has been successful in challenging VMs on access to data and repair and maintenance information – please continue to support us with evidence of non-compliance
  • The federation has produced a comprehensive response to the Northern Ireland MOT consultation – please contact IAAF Technical Director Neil Pattemore neil@iaaf.co.uk to contribute

Membership

  • We have a high number of member applications being processed. Membership will be in accordance with the new IAAF code of conduct.
  • We’re pleased to welcome Andy Lees from MAHLE Aftermarket, who has joined the IAAF council of elected members
  • Recently appointed members include: Emotive, UFI Filters and Total Energies

Visits

  • Recent visits have taken place to Ferdotti Motor Services, MAHLE Aftermarket, Wolverhampton Automotive College, Carwood, Glen Callum Associates (GCA) and LKQ Euro Car Parts.
