The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) is set for another year of football, networking and friendly competition as its much-anticipated Five-a-Side Tournament returns, this time at a brand-new venue.
Taking place on Thursday, 21st May 2026 at West Bromwich Albion F.C’s Hawthorns stadium, this year’s tournament will build on the success of last year’s debut event at Stoke City F.C.
And with demand already high, businesses are being urged to secure their place quickly, with many of the 24 team spaces already filled and remaining spots expected to go fast.
The IAAF is encouraging companies from across the aftermarket to take part in a day that combines team building with valuable industry networking, all set against the backdrop of a professional football stadium.
Mark Field, Chief Executive of IAAF, commented: “We are thrilled to bring back the Five-a-Side tournament and to be hosting it at West Bromwich Albion this year. After a fantastic first event at Stoke City, we wanted to build on that momentum and offer businesses another memorable experience in a professional football stadium setting.
“The response so far has been incredibly strong, and with spaces limited, we would encourage businesses to sign up sooner rather than later to avoid missing out.”
The tournament will run from approx 2pm to 7pm across four quarter-size pitches, giving teams plenty of opportunity to compete in a fast-paced and professionally run environment. Players will benefit from access to both home and away changing rooms, a tunnel walkout experience, and matches officiated by FA-qualified referees.
Off the pitch, the day delivers a full matchday experience. The stadium’s PA system will be in use throughout, with live tournament updates via a dedicated results platform, culminating in a closing awards ceremony to recognise standout performances.
Spectators are also welcome, with on-site catering and parking available.
The IAAF continues to host the tournament as part of its commitment to strengthening the sense of community across the automotive aftermarket. The event offers businesses an opportunity to strengthen partnerships and raise their profile within the sector.
With a new venue, growing momentum and limited team availability, this year’s tournament is shaping up to be one of the standout industry events of the calendar.
