Investing for the long haul

For long haul journeys, no other fuel source can offer the industry better emissions, range, affordability or usability than a modern direct injection diesel engine. Add sophisticated aftertreatment and other technologies into the mix – which together have the potential to achieve near-zero emissions – and it’s clear that diesel will remain the powertrain of choice for commercial vehicles for the foreseeable.

Recognising that diesel is here to stay, leading remanufacturer and technical service provider, Carwood, is continuing to invest in its commercial vehicle programme. Already broad, Carwood offers a wide range of solutions including fuel pumps and injectors, turbochargers, rotating electrics, HVAC, electronics, DPF cleaning, tachographs, Direct Vision Standards and other technical services for all makes of light, medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicle. The lineup is now set to get even bigger, with the introduction of Euro 6 and MDEG fuel remanufacturing capability for trucks.

To support this rapidly growing market, Carwood has added Euro 6 test capability to its 33-strong suite of OE test benches. As well as cementing its position as one of, if not the most advanced remanufacturing centre in Europe, Carwood can now remanufacture and test the latest Euro 6 F2 series injectors to exacting OE standards.

Carwood is also one of the first workshops undertaking remanufacturing for Mercedes-Benz MDEG – an engine series fitted to light and medium-duty trucks, buses and off-highway applications.

With a range of new OE pumps and injectors, alongside its own OE-approved reman, Carwood can now offer a full-service solution for Euro 6 F2 series applications, giving fleets a choice of proven-quality, competitively priced solutions, for an ever-growing range of commercial vehicles.
