In the culmination of a gripping racing season for Max Coates, he now prepares for the final race at Brands Hatch in the UK. Max Coates, who is in his 5^th season with NGK Spark Plugs sponsorship, has put in an amazing performance at all the meets in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB and will be carrying a lot of hopes for himself and the team into the cockpit this weekend.

This is Max’s first season racing with the new Porsche Cayman 718 GT4 Clubsport RS. The powerful race machine is a 510bhp purpose built race car and it seems to be a perfect partnership between vehicle and driver so far. There have been highs and lows to the year, as Max has scored podium finishes at every race in the season except for Oulton Park Race 1 and Donnington Park Race 1.

Going into the final Max hopes for another podium spot of course but is also hopeful for championship success too. “I am so excited for this weekend, we’ve got a good points gap and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t giving the championship win any thought,” comments Max, “My focus remains on each race this weekend and to do that we need a successful day testing on Friday ahead of the important points scoring sessions throughout the weekend.  We’ve had so much success this year with only two races off the podium, if we can continue that momentum there’s no reason we can’t bring home the big trophy”
