The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation

A1 Motor Stores joins IAAF

Date: Thursday 11 March 2021

The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) has welcomed another new member for 2021, A1 Motor Stores, to its growing membership.

Formed in 1983, A1 Motor Stores has developed in to one of the UK’s leading aftermarket buying groups. Specialising in supporting both independent motor factors and retailers, A1 Motor Stores offers a full package of benefits to its members, including preferential supplier purchase terms, group profit sharing and access to its own distribution centre for cost savings.

By joining the IAAF, A1 Motor Stores will now have access to many IAAF benefits such as insights into IAAF’s lobbying activity to safeguard the automotive aftermarket. This includes type approval legislation, block exemption renewal and MOT testing.

Simon Salloway, Operations Director at A1 Motor Stores explains:

“In times of change it is prudent to be involved in the process rather than to react to the outcome. A1 believes working with the IAAF will give us the best opportunity to ensure the voice of our own members is heard, both within our industry and beyond.”

Mike Smallbone, head of membership development at IAAF, adds:

“We welcome A1 Motor Stores to our ever-growing membership in what is turning out to be another challenging year. We believe its knowledge and experience in the sector will be mutually beneficial.”
