Looking to offer customers the best lead-acid leisure batteries available here in the UK, Derbyshire-based Glossop Caravans has struck up an accord with leading European manufacturer of original equipment batteries and battery accessories, Banner. It is a move that sees two leading family owned businesses dedicated to the leisure sector work together in the UK for the first time.

Now available to customers via Glossop Caravans’ dedicated accessories onsite sales facility is Banner’s latest Energy Bull lead-acid battery range, launched at February’s Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show. Having long been a popular choice for leisure and marine applications here in the UK, its appeal beyond standing as a true 110Ah leisure battery is set to increase following Banner’s decision to re-launch the Energy Bull range as a dual purpose starter and supply (long discharge use) battery.

With all batteries now featuring a new ‘Dual Power’ icon, the Energy Bull product offering - approved through the NCC’s highly acclaimed Verified Leisure Battery Scheme – is the ideal solution for all leisure and marine applications. Energy Bull includes six products - all available from Glossop Caravans - with power outputs ranging from 60Ah (20 h) to 230Ah (20 h).

Available as both maintenance and maintenance-friendly types, all products feature transparent boxes to ensure electrolyte levels are visible, exhibit low water consumption and low discharge rates. With proven cold-start characteristics and high cycle resistance, Energy Bull ‘Dual Power’ features optimised capacities to also accommodate greater cyclic loads and are vibration resistant.       

Proven to last 4 to 5 times longer than a standard leisure battery, typically 300-400 cycles against a figure of 80, Energy Bull is today fitted as original equipment by many leading UK and European motorhome builders. All products come with a two-year manufacturing guarantee against defects.
