Banner updates CV and plant sector literature

Date: Monday 10 October 2022

Having recently introduced AGM (Absorbent Glass Matt) and EFB technology into its proven Buffalo Bull battery product offering, Banner - one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of leisure batteries and battery accessories – has bolstered its library of technical product support literature having published an updated eight-page capabilities brochure dedicated to its heavy-duty commercial vehicle and plant starter batteries.

And with CV’s today being responsible for not only engine starts, but also for supporting a CV’s entire onboard electrical system, also available is a useful ‘Power Usage’ poster – ‘It’s Hard To Believe What Your Banner Battery Powers’ – that graphically depicts the energy consumers a lead-acid battery previously had to support compared to today’s landscape.

Copies of the new literature and poster are available from Banner, or in downloadable pdf format from its website – www.bannerbatteries.com.

With the addition of Buffalo Bull AGM and EFB and their capacity to deliver optimum power for long-distance trucks, the Buffalo Bull family stands as the preferred original equipment choice of the likes of Mercedes Trucks, Liebherr, Kässbohrer, Kubota and Caterpillar.

Indeed, as well as detailing the technical and performance characteristics of the now five variants – Buffalo Bull AGM, Buffalo Bull EFB, Buffalo Bull, Buffalo Bull SHD and Buffalo SHD Professional Pro - the literature also contains a useful section that details the technology, quality and enhanced safety features that are inbuilt into the popular Buffalo Bull range.

Along with delivering unrivalled starting power, as well as short-distance journeys in distribution traffic, irregular driving profiles with stop-and-go traffic, and daily cold starts in icy temperatures, Buffalo Bull AGM has the capacity to meet the ever-increasing range of a CV’s additional electrical consumers, such as air conditioning, auxiliary heating, refrigerators, lights and entertainment systems.

Buffalo Bull EFB on the other hand meets the toughest requirements of today’s long-distance trucks, which are more than just a means of transporting goods from A to B. Being the driver’s workplace and home, Buffalo Bull EFB is capable of handling the maximum energy demands emanating from an increasing number of electrical consumers. Moreover, in the case of battery integration into the rear chassis, extreme vibration-resistance is essential.

Representing the ultimate in terms of quality, durability and power delivery is the SHD PROfessional - a Buffalo Bull with a difference. Totally maintenance-free, it is designed and manufactured to perform in both stop & go and cold start environments.

Echoing the SHD PROfessional’s ability to withstand cyclical and vibration resistance to a top E4/V3 rating pursuant to EN 50342-1, Buffalo Bull SHD is an equally powerful and rugged performer. So too is the entry level Buffalo Bull that is available for niche and supplementary types of agricultural machinery and unusual commercial vehicle applications.

As Banner’s Country Manager, Lee Quinney states:

“The CV and plant sector is an increasingly important business area for Banner Batteries, and one that we will be focusing our energies on moving forwards, as the new technical literature and poster demonstrates.”
