Car staked as hole-in-one prize at sell-out IAAF Golf Day

Date: Friday 08 July 2022

The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) will offer players at its annual Golf Day the chance to win a brand-new car, with a hole-in-one competition on the 18th hole sponsored by SMP Europe.

The Federation’s fully sold-out IAAF BEN Golf Day on Friday 12th August takes place at the renowned Arden Championship course, at Forest of Arden Marriott Hotel and Country Club in Meriden, Warwickshire.

The club has played host to a succession of international tournaments, including the British Masters and the English Open, and in August guests at the IAAF Golf Day will vie for the IAAF Aftermarket Cup – with those able to net a hole-in-one taking home a new car, sponsored by engine management specialist SMP Europe.

Mark Field, chief executive of IAAF, said: “The golf day brings a unique opportunity to Federation members to network across various areas of the automotive aftermarket, with a competitive edge added by the IAAF Aftermarket Cup.

“As well as the Cup, guests will be able to take the competition further and challenge themselves for a hole-in-one on the final hole and take home a new car if they pull it off!”

The Arden championship course is a par 72 course, measuring 7,213 yards and presents a unique test of golfers’ skills, with different tee boxes, water hazards, tree-lined fairways and thick rough making up a challenging but enjoyable game for all abilities.
