Craig McCracken becomes IAAF vice-president

Date: Friday 03 September 2021

Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) has appointed Craig McCracken, Group Factor Manager at Arnold Clark Autoparts as new vice-president.

In becoming vice-president and then president in 2023, Craig succeeds past president Terry Knox and will join the IAAF board, supporting current president Richard Welland, Honorary Treasurer Lawrence Bleasdale and Chief Executive Mark Field.

Craig has more than 40 years’ experience in the automotive industry and has worked for Arnold Clark for 35 years.

At Arnold Clark Autoparts, Craig has presided over the motor factor's meteoric rise, which has ensured customers have benefitted from the wide range of products and services available from Arnold Clark, with Autoparts being one of the first distributors to adopt the philosophy of supplying everything a workshop requires.

Commenting on his appointment, Craig said:

“I wish to thank Arnold Clark Autoparts for its support as I expand my role within IAAF, a trade federation I have been closely involved with for almost 10 years. The next period for the automotive aftermarket will arguably be its most challenging – with a changing vehicle parc, access to data issues and block exemption regulation renewal – and so it is essential we all get behind the Federation and support its widespread activity to protect the sector.”

Richard Welland, IAAF president added said:

“Craig is a passionate supporter of our trade and his expertise and experience will be extremely well received as we continue to modernise the IAAF over the next few years.”
