David Sedgley, Roadlink International chairman, has sadly passed away following a long illness
Date: Friday 27 November 2020
David spent his whole working life in the commercial vehicle industry, leaving school to begin work with Edmunds Walker in the early 1960s. Always championing the independent business, he established Roadlink International in 1982, and helped develop the company as one of the UK’s leading independently-owned suppliers of braking products for commercial vehicles.
More recently in 2016, David presided over a significant expansion of the company’s production facility, investing in the West Midlands economy and driving remanufacturing best practice in the automotive industry.
David embraced the constant evolution of our industry and was a lifelong supporter of our trade, being heavily involved in IAAF and SMMT activities and of course industry charity BEN, where he saw first-hand the vital work the charity does, caring for a family member at one of its residential homes.
He will be very sadly missed by everyone in the industry.
