Disappointment for Charlie at Zandvoort

Technical problems ruined NGK-sponsored Charlie Martin’s chances in the third round of the ADAC GT4 Germany championship at Zandvoort at the weekend.

Charlie was looking forward to her debut at the legendary track, which is the home of the Dutch Grand Prix, but was forced to pull out of the race.

She said:

“A tough weekend. Despite showing strong potential, fate dealt us too many curve balls. Sadly technical problems prevented us from racing and it was the right decision from our team principal and team manager to retire the car in the interests of safety.

“I feel absolutely gutted. I was so pumped to race at Zandvoort, it’s an incredible track and the laps I drove felt amazing, but I fully support the team’s decision.”
