EAG continues its growth and welcomes Chris Burnside as a company director

Date: Friday 13 November 2020

Sancorp, the parent company of Excel Automotive Group (EAG), has increased its number of directors, as it continues with its plans to grow the number of suppliers and subsequently, the products it offers the automotive aftermarket.

Chief Executive Officer, Tony Bhogal, commented:

“Even though our nation is experiencing terrible times with an epidemic that has caused such damage and casualties to business, I am thrilled that EAG has continued to grow and is on track with our development strategy. This is down to our industry knowledge and understanding of what is required now and moving forward. I’m delighted with the team we have and the attitude we’ve maintained throughout, which allows me to make the changes to benefit our customers, future customers and our own company.

“With this in mind both Adrian Lamb and myself have been fortunate to bring on board Chris Burnside as Operations Director. His industry knowledge is extremely impressive and we have known him for many years while he was managing the successful Edinburgh-based Livingston Autoparts, before selling to AAG UK in 2018.”

Chris Burnside said of his appointment:

“I’ve had a short break from the business since May 2019 but after a brief recharge I was keen to get back, as long as the right opportunity was there, and EAG fits the criteria perfectly. As Operations Director, I will be working closely with Tony and Adrian as we continue to bring quality brands to our product portfolio and ensure that our IT and online systems are of the highest calibre.

“As our customer base continues to increase, we will make sure EAG continues to offer the best level of service and this includes the possibility of increasing the number of warehouse facilities we have.

“As the car parc in Scotland is actually slightly different from the rest of the UK, it’s also important that EAG is able to cater for our increasing Scottish customer base, as well as that of the rest of the UK. As a result, our partner brands and own label product availability is in place for any and all requirements.”

Chris Burnside takes up his role of EAG Operations Director with immediate effect.
