EAG reveals its ongoing commitment to the environment

Date: Thursday 20 May 2021

For the past few years, Excel Automotive Group (EAG) has been working to become more environmentally friendly, and is now revealing the steps it has taken.

From taking initial steps, such as making sure all packaging is recycled and asking customers to have invoices sent to them via email instead of the post, to building its offices with the environment in mind and installing light sensors and being as energy efficient as possible, EAG has been environmentally conscious for years.

Managing Director, Adrian Lamb, said:

“While the environment been a more widely discussed subject in the past couple of years, the impact we’re having on the environment has been at the forefront of our minds and a talking point in the motoring industry for decades, with the biggest changes happening to the vehicles themselves, such as electric, hybrid and even hydrogen vehicles.
“While we at EAG cannot contribute as much to these larger changes in the aftermarket, we can take responsibility for the environmental impact we have as a company. It’s for this reason that we have taken the measures we have, such as ensuring we recycle everything we can and changing to more energy efficient ways of working, which has even included installing new systems to use less paper.
“Recently, we implemented the MAM Warehouse Management System, not only to increase efficiency, but because all of the processes are done electronically, meaning that we’re hardly using paper anymore.
“We also have the ISO14001:2015 accreditation, something that we have maintained since Tony and I took over EAG two years ago; this means that we’ve improved our environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste.”

EAG has distribution arrangements for TRICO wiper blades, Suplex coil springs, Monroe shock absorbers and coil springs, Champion wiper blades, RYMEC clutches, Celect braking and Brembo braking, as well as its own steering & suspension, wheel bearing and transmission ranges – all of which now make up the extensive EAG offering.
