HELLA headlines at Automechanika Birmingham

Date: Tuesday 18 April 2023

As one of the event’s Platinum partners, HELLA will be exhibiting a broad range of its market leading workshop equipment, as well as its original equipment (OE) replacement parts programme, that includes a wide range of vehicle electrics and electronics.

As each new vehicle becomes increasingly ‘connected’ and technology dependent, the independent sector is faced with a stark choice: invest in the equipment necessary to gain access to these vehicles and partner with a supplier that can provide the OE quality replacement parts needed to reliably repair them, or be left behind and not only lose ground, but potentially lose everything!

Thankfully, through its Hella Gutmann brand, HELLA will be demonstrating that it has the answer to this most pressing challenge by showing its market leading workshop solutions for both vehicle diagnostics and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), from stand Q90 in hall 19.

“With the complexity of modern vehicle technology aligned with the vehicle manufacturer’s drive to lockout independents, workshops need diagnostic equipment that not only tackles the technology, but also provides a solution for the cyber security management (CSM) barriers they encounter,” explains HELLA’s UK Sales & Marketing Director, Ian Boyle.
“So, to both highlight these issues and demonstrate that there are viable, cost-effective solutions to them, is why we’re exhibiting and this means that the Hella Gutmann mega macs X and the macsRemote, as well as the latest CSC Tool-Digital for ADAS calibration that we offer, will take centre stage during the event.
“Talking of taking centre stage, we will also be making presentations reflecting the changing face of the industry from both the Workshop Hub and EV Hub, the event’s official presentation areas. The subjects: ‘Automated driving of the future’ and ‘High voltage expertise’ will be delivered by our German colleagues and provide valuable insight to assist technicians tackle these changes with confidence.
“Naturally, developing technology and effective diagnostic processes inevitably result in the need for replacement parts and this is where HELLA once again steps in with the solution. As the OE supplier of a huge variety of electronic components, including sensors for all vehicle systems, we are in a unique position of being able to supply independents servicing and repairing these vehicles with like-for-like parts.
“HELLA is also a forerunner when it comes to lighting, so this important product group will be represented by our Black Magic range of auxiliary lights and lightbars, which provide powerful additional lighting solutions for both on and off-road applications, as well as for the commercial vehicle sector.
“Finally, in addition to these central points, we’ll be encouraging technicians to view and then regularly visit the HELLA TECH WORLD portal – https://www.hella.com/techworld/uk/ – our online tool designed to help them understand, fault find and solve day-to-day workshop problems.”
