IAAF Activity Report – IAAF’s objectives for 2022

Date: Friday 14 January 2022

A busy first full week of the New Year at IAAF with numerous meetings taking place.

There are numerous objectives for the Federation this year. These include: The upcoming renewal of Block Exemption Regulations (BER) in May 2023, IAAF member engagement and the projection of our trade further and wider than ever before as part of our IAAF Aftermarket Careers Pathway.

Looking ahead to BER renewal, there is an opportunity for us to ignite the Your Car – Your Choice campaign in conjunction with the work we are doing through UK AFCAR. The role of the entire aftermarket supply chain needs to be better communicated through the motor factor, garage and motorist.

Secondly, we will enhance the IAAF member experience with more networking and engagement opportunities. A full list of event dates and IAAF webinars will be posted on the IAAF website.

Finally, IAAF Aftermarket Careers Pathway! IAAF has begun discussions with colleges and schools to highlight the numerous career opportunities within the automotive aftermarket. This will involve attracting new ideas and talent into our sector and bringing them into the market to see businesses up and down the supply chain.

More initiatives will be outlined in coming weeks.
