KYB UK Celebrates 25th Year as a leading supplier in the UK and Irish Independent Automotive Aftermarket

KYB UK has held celebrations to commemorate the company’s 25th anniversary.

As a subsidiary of KYB Europe GmbH, KYB UK – originally named Kayaba UK - was first registered as a UK company on 9th December 1996, before fully trading in February 1997.

Starting with just two employees and three customers, KYB UK has grown year-on-year, strengthening its position within the UK Independent Aftermarket, and becoming the established market-leading supplier it is known as today. Initially selling only shock absorbers, KYB UK soon launched a new range of aftermarket coil springs in 2001, becoming the first KYB branch in Europe to sell the product.

As business and product ranges grew, KYB also expanded its premises - within two and a half years, KYB moved to its current location in August 1999. Warehouse space has more than doubled in this time, enabling a stockholding of over 400,000 pieces on average.

To date, KYB UK has supplied the UK and Irish Independent Aftermarket with over 18 million parts. Reflecting upon the past 25 years of progress, Romin Nassiri, UK Sales Manager said
