LIQUI MOLY – nine car magazines, ten titles, one brand

Date: Thursday 22 April 2021

LIQUI MOLY has recorded larger growth in its export business than in Germany for years. Measured by sales volume however, the domestic market is still the largest. The popularity of the company's products and the brand is also enormous in Germany. And it continues to grow. Its popularity is underlined by the readers' votes in nine of the biggest car magazines in Germany: LIQUI MOLY has been named the most popular oil brand a total of ten times.

Auto Zeitung, Auto Bild, auto motor und sport, Motor Klassik, Auto / Straßenverkehr, Motorrad, PS, sport auto, Motorsport aktuell - these names read like a list of car magazines that adorn the shelves of kiosks in Germany. And every year, they invite their readers to choose their most popular vehicle manufacturers and accessory brands. Some readers have been advocating LIQUI MOLY as their most popular motor oil for more than a decade. "This is brand loyalty through and through. That’s what we have been working for every single day for decades," says LIQUI MOLY CEO Ernst Prost. "We are delighted with every title we win and every record we set." In March, the company recorded the strongest sales month in the company’s history, amounting to 65 million euros. For Ernst Prost and his team, these awards and top marks confirm that they are doing the right thing really well. "The awards are mounting up year on year. But we will not rest on our laurels. We like to push it one step further every time."

LIQUI MOLY also gave a polished finish, taking second place in the votes for the most popular vehicle care products. "As a full-range supplier of automotive chemicals, we are ahead of other competitor providers who are completely specialized in care products," emphasizes Ernst Prost. This year, the company will highlight its care product line as its third pillar next to oils and additives in this year’s marketing campaign.
