Mintex-sponsored Lewis Brown seeks renewed title push

Date: Friday 29 July 2022

Mintex-sponsored racing driver Lewis Brown is targeting a renewed push for championship honours in this season’s Quaife MINI Challenge.

Following the first half of his season being marred with mechanical faults and poor luck, Brown finds himself mid-table in the drivers’ standings, but after the season break is refocusing his mind on challenging for race wins once again.

Racing driver and Mintex brand ambassador Lewis Brown said:

“It’s been a character building first half of the season, especially after the promise we showed last year. We’ve shown glimpses of strong pace, but the results frustratingly haven’t fallen our way.
“During the summer break, the car has been completely stripped down, and rebuilt for the second half of the year. We’re confident this rebuild will have combatted the issues I’ve been experiencing, and I’m optimistic we can go to Knockhill with the pace we demonstrated at round one.”

Brown has shown good speed at each round so far this year but various mechanicals and incidents out of his control have put paid to a title bid so far this year.

The next round of the Quaife MINI Challenge takes place at Knockhill circuit, in Scotland, from 30th-31st July.

Mintex is taking to the circuit and stages across various UK motorsport disciplines throughout 2022, providing the specification front brake pads for the full MINI Challenge field, in both JCW and Trophy classes.

Mintex brake pads and discs are engineered to provide friction stability, comfort and consistently high performance over a wide temperature range and stopping distances.
