MOT testing in Wales: a statement from the DVSA
Date: Friday 23 October 2020
Further to the announcement from the Welsh Government about the firebreak, a series of restrictive measures will be in place from 6pm Friday 23 October until the start of Monday 9 November 2020.
What this means for MOT garages
MOT garages can remain open.
To help ensure MOT testing can be conducted safely, you can read the DVSA guidance for MOT testers about operating safely during coronavirus.
During this period, a vehicle needs to have a valid MOT if it is being used, except for the journey to a pre-booked MOT.
The guidance on travelling during the firebreak is available at: https://gov.wales/coronavirus-firebreak-frequently-asked-questions#section-53263
Thank you for continuing to follow COVID-safe testing procedures to help ensure the safety of the public, your staff and DVSA staff.
