Motor factor expands expands with addition of new tyre equipment centre

Carlisle-based family business K&S McKenzie Ltd. are growing their business with the addition of their new Tyre Equipment Centre.

The motor factor, run by brothers Stuart and Alastair McKenzie, has operated in Carlisle, Cumbria for over 50 years. This latest addition further enhances their service offering and is aimed at local companies that manage their own fleet of vehicles, trucks, or plant machinery as well as garages that offer tyre sales and repairs.

Services available at the Tyre Equipment Centre include the installation, servicing and repair of large-scale tyre equipment as well as TPMS diagnostics and sensors. Products available range from balance weights and repair patches/plugs to tyre valves and levers, air tools and fittings, torque wrenches, and jacks.

Director, Stuart McKenzie, says;

“We are always looking for ways to develop our service offering to ensure that our customers receive a wide range of expertise all under the one roof.

“Our staff are a huge part of who we are as a business and so it is great to have an opportunity to develop their skillset. As such as have provided extensive training to our team. K&S McKenzie doubled in size back in 2020 when the brothers opened their new Tool Centre in the City. Despite this coinciding with the start of the pandemic, the business has continued to thrive and it is hoped their latest venture will open up further opportunities for additional growth and local employment opportunities.
