Motorcycle fans help NGK raise cash for charity

Date: Thursday 13 January 2022

Big-hearted visitors to the NGK stand at Motorcycle Live have helped the company raise nearly £8000 for charity.

The ignition and sensor specialist gave the motorcycle enthusiasts the chance to purchase its promotional products and raised a staggering £7876.09 for MacMillan Cancer Support.

Mark Hallam, Marketing Manager, NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd, said:

“I would like to thank everyone who came on to our stand and purchased our promotional goodies. Our staff were kept extremely busy throughout the show, but it was well worth it to raise funds for such an important charity.”

NGK has long been associated with the two-wheel bike scene both on the road and in the motorcycling racing arena where its spark plugs have helped the world’s leading teams and riders to numerous victories.

It welcomed some major motorcycle stars to its stand at the show at Birmingham’s NEC including Isle of Man TT legend John McGuinness, three-time World Speedway Champion Tai Woffinden, and Superstock racers Chrissy Rouse and Brayden Elliott who signed posters for fans.

The NGK stand also attracted a number of non-motorsport celebrities including chef James Martin and actor Danny John-Jules who both enjoyed the company’s hospitality.

NGK is the world’s number one original equipment (OE) fitment and its Iridium IX spark plugs are popular with motorcyclists for their ability to provide enhanced ignition efficiency, better acceleration, faster starting and smoother running, longer life, and better fuel consumption.
