The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation

MVBER key focus of IAAF’s attendance at UKGBE

Date: Friday 22 April 2022

IAAF is to highlight its wide-ranging work to garages on Motor Vehicle Block Exemption Regulations (MVBER) at the UK Garage & Bodyshop Event 2022, taking place at NEC, Birmingham from 8 to 9 June.

As the Federation continues to increase its dialogue with independent garages through its new products and service ebulletin, Your Car – Your Choice Campaign and UKAFCAR coalition, it will raise awareness of the expansive work it carries out to protect the future prosperity of the trade.

IAAF, as a long-term partner to Messe Frankfurt UK, will exhibit at the event and be an active participant in its seminar programme. And, in the evening of Wednesday 8 June, it will host an exclusive member networking event at Genting Hotel, Resorts World.

Mark Field, IAAF Chief Executive said,

“The next 12 months are critical for the industry in relation to the renewal and modernisation of Motor Vehicle Block Exemption Regulations (MVBER) and so we are looking forward to engaging with as many people and businesses as possible, while also supporting members in their first national show for three years.”

Formed in 1930, the IAAF's main function is to promote and secure the future of the independent automotive aftermarket to the benefit of its members and the sector. The IAAF exists purely to represent the needs and requirements of its members and to co-ordinate its shared strengths to promote the independent automotive aftermarket as a credible alternative for vehicle service and repair. The IAAF is the only trade association that lobbies on behalf of the independent automotive sector, specifically on parts.

Join thousands of business owners at the UK Garage and Bodyshop event at the NEC Birmingham from 8 – 9 June. There’s a lot on offer to owners and professionals across the garage and bodyshop industry, including free parking, breakfast and refreshments. Free tickets are available here.
