RAC selects LKQ Euro Car Parts for exclusive supply deal

Leading motor factor LKQ Euro Car Parts has become the ‘tier one’ supplier of car parts to more than 150 RAC Mobile Mechanics across the UK, as part of a major new deal agreed with national driving services and roadside assistance giant RAC.

LKQ will also be the preferred supplier to the RAC’s Approved Garage network – comprising of 900 garages that have been evaluated by RAC as providing a guaranteed high level of service.

The four-year deal will see LKQ exclusively supply the rapidly expanding RAC Mobile Mechanics service, which enables customers to book a mechanic for servicing, diagnostics or vehicle health checks, at their home or workplace at a time that suits them. Launched in 2023, the service covers 80% of UK postcodes.

The new agreement builds on an existing 10-year partnership between LKQ and the RAC which involves providing parts to 1,600 RAC breakdown patrols and collaborating on fleet telematics and driver monitoring.

The deal is the latest in a spate of high-profile contract wins for the UK’s largest motor factor, with it recently announcing its new role to act as the primary supplier of parts, oils and lubricants for the 184 Protyre Autocare branches over the next five years.
