Ring supports the TyreSafe Briefing and Awards

Date: Monday 17 June 2024

As well as attending the TyreSafe Briefing and Awards at the National Motorcycle Museum on 13th July, automotive accessory specialist, Ring Automotive, was also one of the sponsors.

Ring has been a long supporter of TyreSafe, the UK’s leading authority on tyre safety, and has previously assisted at its events across the UK, to promote the importance of having the correct tyre inflation. So naturally, when TyreSafe announced the return of its Briefing and Awards event, Ring offered its full support and has declared it an incredible event.

Throughout the event, visitors were able to understand more about the issues surrounding tyre safety and where the industry and drivers can improve, offering valuable insight into the dangers worn or underinflated tyres can cause. Also included in this event were a series of awards, one of which, the Tyre Safety In the Community Award, was sponsored by Ring and was won by Kathleen Bowman, Community Officer at Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Marketing Director at Ring, Henry Bisson, said: “TyreSafe put on a fantastic event and we were honoured to sponsor an award and support with a small exhibition stand. We’ve been attending a few of their local events this year, such as the car wash with the fire service, where we check tyres with our award winning tyre inflators and chat to the drivers about the results, highlighting if they are underinflated, or if their tyres are worn and need replacing as soon as possible.

“Getting this face to face time with drivers at these local events is invaluable because, as well as the Briefing and Awards we attended, we were able to talk to so many people and gain a lot of insight. They had some amazing speakers discussing some really interesting issues that were engaging to everyone, so we were happy to participate and support in such an important event! The topic of tyres is becoming more and more prevalent, especially as The Motor Ombudsman released a study that has revealed that the nation’s drivers may be unnecessarily forfeiting the use of at least £112 million worth of tyres every year due to under-inflation*, that’s an incredible cost and one we need to educate drivers about.”
