Everything - from core acceptance to the boxing of fully tested, shelf ready product happens at our Midlands based UK facility. When you combine this with £5million worth of stockholding at any one time, at Shaftec we are always one step ahead when it comes to availability.

The company was founded in 1979 and the Shaftec brand introduced in 1995. Believed to have been the first UK remanufacturer of CV joints & driveshafts, Shaftec is now firmly recognised as a market leader across the remanufacturing sector, supplying steering, braking and transmission components for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles to motor factors and distributors in the UK & European aftermarket.

Our mantra is that range and availability are key. Our customers can be confident that we can get them whatever they need whenever they need it to keep their own businesses moving smoothly.

To enhance efficiency, bolster productivity and amplify our square footage, we consolidated the entire business into one facility in 2015. In 2018, we further increased our capacity by 8000sqft by adding a mezzanine floor meaning we now have 50,000sqft of production and storage space in total. This all means we’ve the room to keep an extremely healthy supply of finished stock and any ancillary parts which we have to source from OE suppliers in Europe.

Continuous Investment
We continually invest in new machinery and technology, and focus on new to range parts to keep pace with the ever changing car parc – especially with regards to electric steering. We’re well aware that if the garages don’t get the right parts at the right price when they need them, then the supply chain breaks down – impacting everyone. Because of this, we invest heavily in our forecasting ability, and work closely with partners, TecAlliance, to be able to offer our customers the most reliable and up to date technical data.

Increased Warranty Terms
To make a big difference to our customers – and based solely on the confidence we have in our product, our brand and in our remanufacturing capabilities - Shaftec has recently extended the warranty terms for its driveshafts and CV Joints from 24 month or 24,000 miles to five years or 60,000 miles.

We have everything in place to continue to be the supplier of choice across our key areas for the garages of the UK.
