Silverstone brings Mintex-sponsored Lewis Brown highest points haul of the season

Mintex-sponsored MINI Challenge racing driver Lewis Brown secured his highest points haul of the 2022 season with three strong results at the latest round at Silverstone, which took place from 24th-25th September.
After qualifying seventh in Saturday’s qualifying session around the 1.6-mile National circuit at the home of UK motor racing, Brown followed up with a solid fifth place in race one.
Sunday’s two races saw Lewis Brown battle amongst the upper field, including a several lap-long tussle with reigning MINI Challenge champion Dan Zelos, with Brown eventually finishing sixth in race two.
The final race of the weekend saw Brown finish fourth on track, before a post-race penalty for another driver saw Brown promoted to third place for his second podium finish of the season.
“We’ve definitely turned a corner here this weekend and with a bit of luck finally coming our way, we’ve finally been able to show the pace we’ve had all season, and with three solid scores it’s been a great weekend,” said Mintex brand ambassador and MINI Challenge racing driver Lewis Brown.
With just five corners around the Silverstone National layout stopping power around the circuit is crucial.
“There’s only really two strong overtaking opportunities around this circuit so having Mintex brakes on board really gives us drivers confidence that we can make those moves, brake late and be in control,” Brown said.
The three top-six results were Brown’s overall best display of the season and the points total gained is the largest he has taken home all year.
