Simon Haynes, RIP

It was with much sadness that we learned of the recent death of Simon Haynes.

Simon founded Midland Vehicle Components in April 2000, having been in the automotive trade for many years and previously the proprietor of a very successful motor factor in Coventry (CBA). He decided to put his vast experience and knowledge to use and Midland Vehicle Components was born.

The business started with seven delivery vans and began to concentrate on supplying the best local on demand delivery service direct to the garages door. The business rapidly began gaining itself a strong reputation for supplying the right part first time. Having invested heavily in the most experienced staff, who themselves had many years of experience and were also familiar names within the local area.

Simon joined the IAAF Council in January 2014, usually arriving in full leathers having travelled to the IAAF offices on his motor bike. He always did his very best to represent independent factors and ensure their views were well represented.

The IAAF would like to offer sincere condolences to his family, colleagues and friends.
