TechMan makes it to IGA awards finals

Garage management system, TechMan, has announced the brand has made it to the finals of the IGA (Independent Garage Association) BIG Awards, in the Garage Management System of the Year category.

The IGA will host its inaugural British Independent Garage (BIG) of the Year Awards 2023 to recognise garages, industry suppliers and standout stars across the UK, honouring the best businesses in the sector, voted for by the industry.

There are 18 award categories in the BIG awards, highlighting all aspects of running a successful garage business, with the winners being announced at a glittering awards ceremony on 22 September hosted at Leicester City Football Club.

TechMan was born in 2015 from In Town Automotive, a successful service centre in Northampton, spotting a gap in the market for garages and workshops to have a digital and transparent view of its operations. This led to the company creating a garage management system that enabled them to gain a tighter grip on the day-to-day running of the business.

Owner, Terry Dorney, and the TechMan team has built the system from the ground up, using their real-time frustrations and knowledge to identify gaps in the market and create suitable solutions to assist technicians.

TechMan continues to disrupt the market today by focusing research and development on the needs of workshop owners, listening to the market and its customers, pioneering new features and presenting ways to automate and reduce daily admin tasks to help independent garages and technicians boost efficiency, improve customer service, increase productivity and grow profitability.
