Veterans In Action selected as possible recipient of National Lottery People's Project grant

Date: Friday 19 May 2023

Veterans In Action have been lucky to have been selected as one of the charities for the National Lottery People’s Project which opened recently. In order to have a chance of being awarded a grant of £70,000, The charity needs support in the form of votes from the public. It is very easy to do and takes about 1 minute.

From its Andover base, the ALIVE project provides purpose for army veterans aimed at repairing the deep void often felt reintroducing to civilian life. Steven toured Northern Ireland, Iraq and Afghanistan. A daunting return from duty - compounded by the agony of caring for his terminally ill son.

Steven Fry, former serviceman:

It just helps you, when you go home, that you feel like you've done something. After my son's passing, the nightmares of my service and nightmares of my son's last few breaths were turbo-charged. I was waking up in sweats, nightmares, not sleeping.

Reporter:

While stripping down this land rover and rebuilding it. Strengths and stories are shared. There is solace from being with those who understand.

Please follow the link below to vote for Veterans In Action and if you could ask all you know to vote also. By winning the vote it will enable Veterans In Action to continue their work helping veterans suffering from PTSD.

Many thanks in advance for your support.
