ZF Services UK bolsters CV support

Date: Friday 20 August 2021

ZF Services UK has revamped its Nottingham Centre of Competence offering to better support the commercial vehicle (CV) aftermarket after taking a careful look at how the market has changed as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.

As a global leader in driveline and chassis technology that fully harnesses its OE heritage, ZF Services UK is committed to offering the most up-to-date solutions and technology to its UK aftermarket customers and has therefore further tailored its offering to ensure ever-changing demand is met.

Throughout the past year ZF Services UK has remained open and has been fully operational to continue to meet customer requirements, while implementing the necessary health and safety precautions in line with Government guidelines to ensure employee and customer safety is maximised.

With restrictions now beginning to ease, the company’s repair centre has been developed to ensure customers further benefit from a complete range of support solutions from overhaul and remanufacture, to parts and technical support for transmissions, axles and gearboxes, backed by a specialist team.

Finding the right partner
Supported by ZF Services UK’s Centre of Competence in Nottingham – which has recently boosted capacity to supply a wider stock of remanufactured transmissions and axles – ZF Service Partners can attend bus operators within a 48-hour window and perform on-site diagnosis, repairs and component exchange to ensure vehicle downtime is minimised. All Service Partner staff are trained in line with the factory production standards, which form part of ZF’s core competencies.

With ZF Service Partners strategically situated across the UK and Ireland, ZF Services UK is looking to get closer to the marketplace in order to meet the growing demand for expert assistance on modern transmissions and axles.

David Wakeling, ZF Head of Commercial Vehicle, said:

“The past year was certainly not without challenge for every industry, but the commercial vehicle aftermarket has set a great example of pulling together to continue to successfully service customer demand.
“During this time, we’ve watched the market closely and listened to customers’ changing requirements and have therefore invested further in additional resources, training and equipment at our Nottingham Centre of Competence. This provides customers with the reassurance that we are ideally placed to support with the service and repair of the next generation of commercial vehicles.”

Fully ISO accredited, the ZF Services UK Centre of Competence in Nottingham is a dedicated facility and thanks to the recent expansion, now boasts a 6500m² workshop area to further underline the company’s position as a leading industry specialist. With multi-brand capabilities, the centre uses only industry trained technicians who are multi-skilled and work to OEM standards.

The ZF Nottingham head office also stocks and distributes genuine ZF parts, as well as provides a non-ZF gearbox remanufacture and reverse engineering service.
