Leading rotating electrics supplier, WAI, has been shortlisted for the supplier of the year award at the CAT awards 2025, following its recent acquisition of PSH and news of its new distribution partnership agreement of the HC-Cargo brand in the UK.
The CAT awards ceremony will take place at Manchester’s Lowry Hotel on 27th February and will welcome leading companies, individuals and established brands from across the automotive aftermarket for an afternoon of networking and celebrations.
For 2025, there are 12 award categories including WAI’s ‘Supplier of the Year’, plus Retailer of the Year’, ‘Industry Partner’, ‘Training Scheme of the Year’, ‘Factor Branch of the Year’ ‘Rising Star of the Year’, ‘Environmental Award’, ‘Outstanding Achievement’ – and new for 2025, the ‘Innovation Award’.
Richard Welland Chief Commercial Officer (Global) at WAI, commented: “After ending last year on a high with the PSH and HC-Cargo news, WAI is already leading the charge this year. It’s great to be shortlisted for the prestigious CAT award against so many other well-established brands in the market.”
At the end of 2024, WAI announced it had completed the purchase of Pos Service Holland (PSH) from Nordian Capital Partners to further advance its growth strategy and market leadership. Plus, the company also revealed it had become the preferred distribution partner of the HC-Cargo brand in the UK.
Both advancements for the brand will further strengthen WAI’s offering in the UK automotive aftermarket, with the widest range of auto electrical products available.
Welland adds: “The Supplier of the Year award is voted for by the public, so we are looking to all our friends, colleagues and customers in the industry to support the WAI brand so we can take home the 2025 trophy!”
