In partnership with Delphi, a global leader in automotive technology and innovation, Workshop Pro Training delegates recently completed an exclusive pilot of the new Hydrogen Vehicle Routine Maintenance (HY2) course. The pilot session was hosted at Delphi’s state-of-the-art facility, which will soon open its doors to a wider audience of trainees. This new facility, coupled with Delphi’s technical expertise, provides an unparalleled learning environment, reinforcing the importance of practical, real-world training in mastering new automotive technologies.
Building on the success of Workshop Pro’s IMI Level 1 Award, in Hydrogen Vehicle Awareness, offered via a range of providers across the UK, the new technician training course has been established to explore the practical application of this emerging technology in greater depth.
The new course, the first of its kind in the automotive aftermarket, was meticulously designed by Delphi’s team of experts to provide in-depth, hands-on training on the latest hydrogen vehicle technologies. During the exclusive pilot session, four of Workshop Pro’s valued customers experienced firsthand the cutting-edge curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge with practical application, focusing on real-world scenarios specific to hydrogen vehicles.
Delphi’s Hydrogen Vehicle Routine Maintenance course is a product of Delphi’s deep technical expertise. It offers a comprehensive exploration of Hydrogen Fuel Cell (H2FC) and Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine (H2ICE) vehicles, providing professionals with the knowledge they need to lead in the automotive industry’s future.
“We are delighted to be able to offer this new Hydrogen Service and Maintenance training for technicians” said Scott Simpson, Technical Training Manager at Workshop Pro. “Delphi’s technical expertise and our commitment to providing high-quality training combine well to equip automotive professionals with the skills they need as the future of automotive continues to change at pace.
“Our partnership with Workshop Pro Training allows us to extend the reach of our advanced hydrogen vehicle training,” said Luke Garratt, Technical Services Manager at Delphi. “Together, we are ensuring that professionals have access to the best possible education in this field, preparing them for the future of automotive technology.”
With the successful completion of this pilot session, Workshop Pro Training and Delphi are excited to expand the HY2 training course to a broader audience. As Delphi’s facility prepares to welcome more trainees, Workshop Pro Training will continue to provide easy access to this essential training, ensuring that automotive professionals are equipped with the cutting-edge knowledge they need.
