It’s been a busy week for IAAF comprising the following:

Networking & events

 

  • IAAF will hold member networking drinks on the first day of Automechanika Birmingham 2025 (Tuesday 3 June) – look out for the invitation next week
  • Places are still available for our football tournament on 22 May at Stoke City F.C – contact angela@iaaf.co.uk to take part
  • Automechanika Birmingham Garage Awards shortlist of finalists will be released next week. To secure your place and enquire about sponsorship for the event on Wednesday 4 June, please email angela@iaaf.co.uk
  • IAAF’s technical director Neil Pattemore has attended a conference regarding Amazon e-commerce

Lobbying

 

  • The federation is very active supporting members on information around US tariffs, Please do share information with IAAF.
  • IAAF has held meetings with the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) to discuss MVBEO compliance
Visits

 

  • Recent visits have taken place to Lindley’s Auto Centres and Mark Field was joined on BBC Breakfast Wednesday morning with Steve Horne, GSF Car Parts Chief Executive and Ross Toomey SMP Europe Managing Director to discuss the effect of US tariffs on the automotive aftermarket
