PACT announces new partnership with global lubricants brand Motul to accelerate digitalisation in the market

Thursday 16 Apr 2026

PACT, the exclusive distributor of TecCom and eparts in the UK and Ireland, has announced a new partnership with global high-performance lubricants and fluids supplier, Motul, to further support digitalisation in the sector.

Motul has implemented electronic trading via PACT to streamline order processing, improve accuracy and deliver a more efficient digital trading experience for customers throughout the UK and Ireland.

As Motul’s customer base and product portfolio continues to expand, the business identified the need for a more standardised and scalable way of receiving and processing orders.

Mike Hansford, Sales Manager PCMO, Motul UK & Ireland, commented: “Before joining PACT, one of our key challenges was ensuring a more efficient and standardised way of receiving and processing customer orders. As our customer base and product range continued to grow, we needed a solution that could reduce manual handling, improve order accuracy and better align with how our customers increasingly prefer to trade digitally.”

The decision to partner with PACT was driven by TecCom’s strong reputation across the sector, with many of Motul’s customers already actively using the platform.

Hansford added: “The decision to implement PACT was driven by the opportunity to integrate seamlessly into existing customer workflows as a lot of our customers were already using the platform, so it was easy to implement rather than asking them to adapt to new, bespoke or manual processes. PACT’s local market expertise in the UK and Ireland was also a key factor that also helped us make the decision.”

Through the integration, Motul will benefit from enhanced operational efficiency, stronger order accuracy and improved stock visibility with customers. TecCom will also enable Motul to receive structured, standardised orders directly into its systems, helping to reduce errors, speed up processing and ultimately improve service levels. This also supports and strengthens its digital presence in the market.

PACT supported the team with a smooth and easy implementation process to avoid causing any disruption to day-to-day operations.

Hansford explained: “PACT guided us clearly through each step, and the process from agreement to going live was handled quickly and professionally.”

Matthew Say, Managing Director at PACT, said: “We are really pleased to welcome Motul to the growing network of leading brands using TecCom via PACT. As digitalisation continues to transform the sector, partnerships like this are essential in helping suppliers and customers trade more efficiently, accurately, and seamlessly.

“Motul is a globally respected brand, and this collaboration further highlights the increasing importance of digital-first processes within the sector to help support easier order processing, fewer errors, reducing waste – and ultimately better customer service and improved sales!”

For Motul, digitalisation remains central to its long-term growth strategy. Hansford said: “Digitalisation is critical to the business. It underpins how we improve efficiency, support our customers and scale sustainably across markets. Solutions like TecCom are not standalone tools for us; they are part of a broader commitment to modernising how we operate, trade and collaborate across the industry – helping us to prepare for the future.”

The new partnership reinforces PACT’s position at the forefront of digital transformation in the sector, supporting suppliers in modernising commercial operations and delivering better service to customers.
