Delphi has put its NOx sensors to the test against the original manufacturer (OE) and three leading competitors, to find out how the brand’s offering compares in reliability, durability, and performance.

The test saw each NOx sensor evaluated in four key performance areas: probe leakage, sensor accuracy, high temperature leakage and real-world driving, with the brand’s leading NOx Sensors range coming out on top!

Probe Leakage

Delphi’s probe scored an exceptional 0.02 ml, the lowest leakage of all parts tested. This result is not only 30 times tighter than the standard limit, but also significantly better than the three KDC brands, whose leakage values ranged from 0.3 ml to 0.5 ml.

Sensor Accuracy

Across all test stages of the sensor accuracy test, Delphi’s sensors closely matched OE data, demonstrating consistent, predictable performance even at elevated ranges that make them ideal for high-performance application.

High Temperature Leakage

Even when put through high temperatures, Delphi’s NOx sensors showed outstanding stability, with O₂ readings remaining consistent throughout the test.

The seal held firm to ensure reliable data through considerable thermal stress, while the accuracy of other brand’s sensors were compromised due to fluctuation.

Real-world Driving

Delphi’s NOx sensor tracked closest to OE data across all simulated conditions, factoring in different load sizes, speeds and temperatures and delivering stable, consistent readings in both urban and highway environments.
