April was an extremely busy month for the federation, and members have responded well to the challenging trading conditions brought about by the conflict in the middle east. With more uncertainty ahead, it is important that the IAAF, in its representation of the entire aftermarket, supports its membership in navigating this disruption and ensuring the motorist is also part of the conversation.
Out and about, it was great to see a high proportion of the aftermarket – and IAAF membership – represented at the opening weekend of the British Touring Car Championship at Donington.
Lobbying activity
Due to the crucial work the sector does in maintaining the UK’s 34million vehicles, IAAF has intensified its communication with government and sought legal assistance on the enforcement of legislation that affects every business in the aftermarket supply chain.
We are also active across government consultations, in particular the consultation on updating the minimum emissions standard for new road vehicles.
IAAF Technical Director James Dillion and IAAF Honorary Treasurer Lawrence Bleasdale also attended the FIGIEFA General Meeting in Poland, representing the federations interests.
Events
There are a few team spaces remaining for the football tournament on 21 May at West Bromwich Albion Stadium.
