PACT supports charity cycle ride from Bilbao to Madrid

Thursday 18 Jun 2026

PACT, the exclusive distributor of TecCom and eparts in the UK and Ireland, is supporting its Sales Manager, Sean Barnie, as he takes on a 250-mile charity cycle from Bilbao to Madrid in aid of the O’Brien Charitable Trust – taking part as both a rider and sponsor of the event.

Taking place from 30th September to 4th October 2026, Sean is set to join a team of riders taking on a demanding route across Spain, covering mountainous terrain, open countryside and the final push into Madrid. In support of Sean’s efforts and the O’Brien Charitable Trust, PACT will be a key sponsor for the event and cycling jerseys.

Sean commented, “I’m really looking forward to taking on this challenge. It’s going to be tough, but it’s all for a great cause. The O’Brien Charitable Trust does incredible work supporting communities, so being part of something that raises funds and awareness for that is a big motivation.”

Founded in 2017, the O’Brien Charitable Trust was established to support communities across the West Midlands through physical challenges, charity days and fundraising initiatives. The Trust has raised funds for numerous charities, including Ronald McDonald House, Warwickshire & Northampton Air Ambulance and Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity.

Matthew Say, Managing Director at PACT, commented: “We’re pleased to support Sean as he takes on this incredible challenge for such a worthwhile cause. The work carried out by the O’Brien Charitable Trust has a real impact on communities, and we’re delighted to be able to play a small part in helping raise awareness and support for the initiative.”

The charity ride gives sponsors, like PACT, valuable visibility, with branding featured across event material, cycling jerseys and campaign communications, showcasing the sector to a wider audience.
