Valeo Service UK is celebrating the Group’s continued commitment to gender diversity after securing second place in the “Best Progress” category at the 2026 Gender Diversity Awards in automotive and mobility, organised by WAVE – Les Elles de l’Auto.
The ranking, published every two years, assesses how companies across the sector advance gender diversity, using data drawn from publicly available Universal Registration Documents. This year, Valeo achieved a podium finish behind Renault Group, underlining its position as a forward-looking and responsible employer.
“These results are the outcome of several years of proactive policy,” said Agnès Park, Chief Human Resources Officer at Valeo. “This recognition goes beyond an award; it signals real momentum. It reflects a genuine transformation in Valeo’s culture, made possible by the dedication of our teams.”
The award reflects a tangible transformation in Valeo’s culture, with women now representing 32% of the global workforce, exceeding the industry average of around 25%.
The share of women in the Executive and Management Committees increased to 16.7% between 2024 and 2026, senior management representation has risen to 25.6%, and women now account for 28% of managers and professionals across the Group.
“The momentum is there, but our ambition remains clear: reaching 32% women executive positions by 2030,” said Agnès. “This is both a transformational goal and a performance imperative that we will continue to pursue with determination and renewed ambition.”
Valeo’s approach to growing equity and diversity is built on a threefold strategy. Equal opportunities are embedded into policies and processes covering recruitment, pay equity, parenthood, and talent assessment.
Career development is supported at every level, with the Group training 1,000 early-career talents annually, running a six- to nine-month mentoring programme for 250 middle-management mentees each year, half of whom are women, and delivering local initiatives for senior leaders that include networking, peer sharing, and sponsorship from top management.
At the same time, Valeo reinforces an inclusive culture through interactive leadership workshops, e-learning on inclusive leadership for managers, and local awareness sessions for all employees, including Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion week celebrations.
