4×4 adventure on ancient trails through Mongolia

Thursday 19 Jun 2025

The tour operator LIQUI MOLY Extreme is launching a new off-road self-driving trip to the Mongolian eagle hunters.

Trembling, unfolding, one strong beat: Only a few movements, both powerful and majestic, lift the eagle to a breathtaking height. At times featherlight, then in a steep dive, the raptor is carried by the winds to finally fall upon its prey and then return to its handler – Mongolian eagle hunters have been hunting with horses and eagles for thousands of years. This visit is just one of many highlights of LIQUI MOLY Extreme’s new guided off-road self-driving trip “Altai Tracks to Eagle Hunters”.

On the road in the land of extremes: With LIQUI MOLY Extreme, adventurers can discover Mongolia on a new journey. The off-road vehicle takes you through the sand dunes of the Gobi desert into the picturesque Altai mountains with its green hills, into the untamed wilderness of Tavan Bogd National Park and into the old capital of Chinggis Khaan, Karakorum. Every day, participants can look forward to a mix of highlights and undiscovered treasures as well as special encounters – whether overnight stays with nomads and eagle hunters, riding horses and camels or visiting sand dunes and extinguished volcanoes. The small group of self-drivers is not entirely alone. On this off-road tour, they are guided through deserted landscapes by an escort vehicle with a guide and chef.

The Mongolian voyage to the eagle hunters takes place either as a round trip or one way and is offered on twelve selected dates between June and October. In addition to the all-wheel drive vehicle, accommodation and admission as well as support vehicles are included in the travel price. Each participant will also receive a LIQUI MOLY product set.
